CLIFTON, N.J. -- Giuseppina Penna (née Monachello), 80, died Wednesday, Nov. 25. Born in Scoglitti, Sicily, Italy she came to the United States in 1972, living in Paterson before settling in Clifton for the past 15 years.
Penna was the beloved wife of Carmelo; loving mother of Nancy, Giovanni, his wife Maria; Salvatore, his wife Gayala; Francesco, his wife Ana; the dear sister of Giuseppe, his wife Anna; Angelo, his wife Antoinetta; Santina Blasucci, her husband Nicola; and Marisa Nicosia, her husband Bruno; and the proud grandmother of 11 and adoring great grandmother of four.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the Patrick J. Conte Funeral Home Inc., 274 Market St., Elmwood Park. The funeral Mass will be at St. Leo’s R.C. Church, Elmwood Park at 10 a.m., with entombment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
